Honey Lemon Brussel Sprouts

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb brussels sprouts 

  • 2 Tbsp of olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp pepper

  • 5 cloves of garlic

  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/2 tbsp honey 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

  2. Cut brussels in half. Keep the root intact.

  3. Heat olive oil on medium in a cast iron skillet or oven-safe pan. Sprinkle salt and pepper onto the warm oil.

  4. Place brussels sprouts cut side down in the pan until the bottom of the pan is covered. Cook sprouts until they start to brown. 

  5. Once brown, add garlic cloves and place pan in the oven. Roast for another 10-15 minutes or until fork tender. Agitate the sprouts every 5 minutes to prevent burning. 

  6. Remove from oven and toss sprouts with lemon juice and honey in the warm pan.

  7. Plate and serve!
