Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
INGREDIENTS
1 cup salted butter, melted
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 oz bag of chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Using your prettiest wooden spoon, combine melted butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl.
Add the eggs and vanilla. Make sure the mixture is cool enough that you won't make scrambled eggs. Stir until combined.
In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt.
Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined.
Add the WHOLE bag of chocolate chips! Stir to combine.
Chill dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Using a large soup spoon, scoop out 2 Tbsp of dough and roll into balls. If you want them to be exactly the same size use an icecream scoop.
Place an inch apart on parchment lined baking sheets.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
If you are feeling dangerous sprinkle with flaked sea salt while cookies are still warm.
Makes 36 cookies.
