Lamb Burger with Feta Red Pepper Spread
BURGER INGREDIENTS
1 lb ground lamb
1 clove garlic, minced or grated
1 tsp dried oregano
1 Tbsp butter, room temperature or melted
SPREAD INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup feta
1/2 cup roasted red peppers in the jar
1 tsp red wine vinegar
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat grill to 450 degrees
In a bowl combine lamb, butter, oregano and garlic. Don’t over work the meat!
Divide ground lamb in half and form 2 patties. Press 2 fingers into the center of the patty to make a small indentation. This keeps your burgers from puffing up and turning into balls.
Grill patties for 4 minutes, flip, add your favorite cheese, and grill for another 4 minutes for medium burgers. Grill for another 2 minutes for well-done burgers.
Let burgers rest uncovered for 5 minutes.
While burgers rest, combine spread ingredients in a small food processor and blend until smooth. Spread on both sides of a toasted bun.
