Sriracha Sesame Chex Mix

INGREDIENTS

  • 12 oz box of Chex Cereal (I like corn chex or you can do a mixture)

  • 1lb salted mixed nuts (I like it with peanuts)

  • 1 stick salted butter, melted

  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil

  • 3 Tbsp Sriracha (or more if you like it hot)

  • 2 Tbsp Soy sauce

  • 3 Tbsp maple syrup or honey

  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

  2. Combine melted butter soy sauce, sriracha , sesame oil maple syryp, sesame seeds and spices in a bowl.

  3. Pour over crispix and nuts. Toss until sauce is evenly distributed

  4. Pour into 2 - 9X13 baking pans or 2 baking sheets lined with foil.

  5. Bake for 60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes or until butter is absorbed into crispix and they are crispy again.

  6. Let cool and then GO TO TOWN.

This makes a butt-load of snack mix. I like to make it for weekend trips with friends and to share at parties. Feel free to halve the recipe if you are making it for just your family.
