Kelsey's Famous Cookies
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup butter, softened. I like to use salted butter. Kelsey, may not.
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 oz chocolate chips (half a bag)
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Using a standing mixer or beaters, cream butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl.
Add the eggs and vanilla. Beat until combined.
In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt.
Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
Add the chocolate chips and stir to combine.
Using a large soup spoon, scoop out 2 Tbsp of dough and roll into balls. If you want them to be exactly the same size use an ice cream scoop.
Place an inch apart on parchment lined baking sheets.
Bake for 11 minutes or until the tops start getting golden brown spots.
Let cool for a few minute before transferring to a wire rack.
Makes 18 cookies
