Browned Butter Rice Krispies

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 Tbsp salted butter

  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt

  • 12 oz marshmallows

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a large sauce pan, melt butter on medium heat.

  2. Cook butter until brown bits form on the bottom of the pan and frothy bubbles form on the surface. About 10 minutes.

  3. Add marshmallows and salt. Stir until frequently until smooth.

  4. Remove from heat and add rice krispies. Stir until combined.

  5. Pour mixture (struggle with a sticky mess) into a 9x13 baking pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.

  6. Press down with a greased spatula. 

  7. Let sit until cool and cut into 24 squares. 

Store in an airtight container at room temperature. Best served the same day.
