Pan Seared Tilapia
INGREDIENTS
2 tilapia fillets
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp salt
ground pepper to taste
juice of 1/2 lemon
3 Tbsp olive oil
2 tsp chopped fresh cilantro or parsley
INSTRUCTIONS
Pat tilapia dry with a paper towel.
Mix spices together in a small dish.
Coat both sides of fillets with salt, pepper, cayenne, garlic powder, basil and oregano.
Squeeze lemon juice over the top of the fillets.
In a large non-stick skillet on medium heat, cook tilapia in olive oil for 3-4 minutes on each side depending on the thickness of the fillets.
Plate fish and garnish with fresh herbs and an extra wedge of lemon.
